High School Diploma Set for July 7-9
To be held at National Soccer Hall of Fame
Learn among the legends at the next NSCAA High School Coaches Diploma Course, to be held July 7-9, 2006, at the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta, N.Y.

The newest addition to the NSCAA coaching education program, this 21-hour course is designed to address the many issues and responsibilities unique to high school soccer coaches. The course curriculum, developed in cooperation with some of the most experienced and influential high school coaches in the United States, examines the distinctive role high school coaches play in the personal development of young players.

Some of the areas the course will cover include:
  • Developing a coaching philosophy
  • Team management (pre-season training, team building, game day preparation, out of season play, ODP and club relationships, team rules, choosing team captains, parental issues, etc.)
  • Methods of coaching high school players
  • Rick management for high school coaches
  • College recruiting issues and helping players move to the next level
  • Match analysis
  • Practical field sessions

The cost of the course is $200. Candidates are responsible for their own travel costs, food and lodging.
