Three teams participating in the 2006 NCAA Women’s College Cup placed three players each on the 2006 NSCAA/adidas Women’s Division I All-America Team.

Florida State placed Selin Kuralay (Melbourne, Australia), Kelly Rowland (Wallingford, Pa.) and India Trotter (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) on the squad. North Carolina was led by 2006 M.A.C. Hermann Trophy finalists Yael Averbuch (Upper Montclair, N.J.) and Heather O’Reilly (East Brunswick, N.J.), as well as Jessica Maxwell (Colleyville, Texas). Garnering honors for UCLA were Danesha Adams (Shaker Heights, Ohio), Lauren Cheney (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Christina DiMartino (Massapequa, N.Y.).

In addition, the Notre Dame duo of M.A.C. Hermann trophy finalist Kerri Hanks (Allen, Texas) and Jen Buczkowski (Elk Grove, Ill.) earned repeat All-America selection honors.

In all, 11 of the 34 spots on this year’s squad were claimed by players who participated in the 2006 Women’s College Cup.

Three other teams placed two players each on the team—Florida, Illinois and Texas. The Gators had two third team honorees in Ameera Abdullah (Denver, Colo.) and Stacey Bishop (Land O’ Lakes, Fla.).  The Illini had a second team selection in Ella Masar (Urbana, Ill.) and a third team selection in Emily Zurrer (Vancouver, B.C.). Kasey Moore (Mission Viejo, Calif.) was a first team pick for the Longhorns, while Kelsey Carpenter (Allen, Texas) was a second team selection. 

The honorees will be invited to the NSCAA All-America Luncheon, which will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, as part of the 2007 NSCAA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind.
