| Kristine Lilly Named 2007 Honorary All-America |
 If Baltimore Orioles legend Cal Ripken Jr. is known as baseball’s “Iron Man,” there’s no doubt that Kristine Lilly is soccer’s “Iron Woman.” For that reason, she has been selected to receive the NSCAA's Honorary All-America award for 2007.

The most enduring player in soccer regardless of gender, Lilly has participated in five Women’s World Cups and has two titles (1991, 1999) to show for her effort. But that just scratches the surface of a most extraordinary career.
During her time as a player with the U.S. Women’s National Team, Lilly has:
• Contributed to two World Cup championships;
• Twice been presented an Olympic Games gold medal (Atlanta 1996, Athens 2004);
• Become the first player, either male or female, to earn more than 300 caps;
• Logged more than 450 hours of playing time;
• Come off the bench only 12 times in nearly 340 matches.
• Participated in more than 85 percent of the games the U.S. Women’s National Team ever has played.
In a globe-trotting career, she has played against 39 different nations and has scored on 30 different national teams while playing in 21 different countries; she has scored in 15 different countries.
