Kerri Hanks (Notre Dame/Allen, Texas) scored a quad-repeat with her fourth selection as an NSCAA/adidas All-America with the announcement of the 2008 NCAA Division I women’s team.
 
The 2006 Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy winner, Hanks was a second-team All-America choice in 2005 and a first-team selection each of the subsequent years. She was joined by teammates Carrie Dew (Encinitas, Calif.) and Brittany Bock (Naperville, Ill.), who reprised her 2007 selection.
 
Five earned honors for the third time: UCLA’s Lauren Cheney (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Christina DiMartino (Massapequa, N.Y.), North Carolina’s Yael Averbuch (Upper Montclair, N.J.), Kasey Moore (Mission Viejo, Calif.) of Texas and Brigham Young’s Katie Larkin (Draper, Utah); nine others were selected for the second time. Three members of the U.S. Olympic Team that won the gold medal in Beijing also dot the roster: Cheney, North Carolina’s Tobin Heath (Basking Ridge, N.J.) and Southern Cal’s Amy Rodriguez (Lake Forest, Calif.).
 
North Carolina, Stanford and Florida State received the lion’s share of spots by placing four selections each on the team. UCLA had three players honored.

The All-America selections were recognized at the annual All-America Luncheon, held in St. Louis, Mo., on Jan. 17, as part of the 2009 NSCAA Convention.
