Rodriguez, Wenger Named 2008 High School Players of the Year
Bri Rodriguez (Waubonsie Valley High School/Aurora, Ill.) and Andrew Wenger (Warwick High School/Lititz, Pa.) have been named the 2008 NSCAA/adidas High School National Players of the Year. They wiere recognized at the annual All-America Luncheon, held in St. Louis, Mo., on Jan. 17, as part of the 2009 NSCAA Convention.

About Bri Rodriguez
Rodriguez was a key part of Waubonsie Valley’s back-to-back undefeated state championship seasons. As a sophomore, she scored 19 goals and had 23 assists on the way to the 2007 state title. This year the midfielder scored 17 goals and had 25 assists to lead her team to the repeat crown. A three-year varsity player, she is a two-time NSCAA/adidas High School All-America and a three-time NSCAA/adidas Youth All-America while playing for her Eclipse Select club team.








About Andrew Wenger
Wenger had a stand-out senior season, scoring 20 goals and serving up 17 assists as a midfielder for Warwick High School. That pushed his career totals to 45 goals and 39 assists. A member of the National Honor Society, he has a 3.65 grade point average. A two-time NSCAA/adidas High School All-America selection, he also is a two-time NSCAA/adidas Youth All-America playing for his Pennsylvania Classics club team. He will attend Duke University next fall.
