| 2010 Master Coach Diploma Applications Available |
 Applications are now being accepted for the 2010 cohort of the Master Coach Diploma. Part of a growing trend in coaching education of continual self-improvement, the Master Coach diploma extends the 150 hours of field instruction currently offered through NSCAA Academy courses with an 18-month, self-paced curriculum of study that is tailored to the unique issues that soccer coaches in America must address on a daily basis.

Master Coach diploma candidates will be paired with a current NSCAA staff member, who will serve as a mentor and a guide for the duration of the course. Half of the approximately 20 projects will focus on one of six areas of emphasis for candidates, with the remainder of the topics appropriate for all coaches of soccer in America.
The application deadline for the 2010 cohort is August 14, 2009, with all applicants to be notified on or after September 7, 2009 as to their status. Tuition for the course is $1,750, which covers the curriculum, selection of a mentor and room/board at an introductory session in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in March 2010, with candidates responsible for all other costs incurred.
