| Five Schools Double Up on 2009 NSCAA/adidas Men’s College Scholar All-America Team |
Five schools each had two players honored with the announcement of the 2009 NSCAA/adidas Men’s College Scholar All-America Team. Three of those teams, Drake and Stanford in the University Division and Carnegie Mellon in the College Division, extended their seasons deep into the NCAA Tournament.
Seven players earned a repeat appearance on the squad, led by first-team selections J.T. Noone (Temple/Harrisburg, Pa.) and Michael Thomas (Notre Dame/Olathe, Kan.) in the University Division and Alex Hildebrandt (Augsburg/St. Paul, Minn.) in the College Division.
To be nominated for consideration, student-athletes must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) throughout their career; start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team; be nominated by an institution that is a current NSCAA College Services member; be a junior or above in academic standing at the current institution and either be in their second year at the current school if a transfer student.

The NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-America selections were recognized at the annual All-America Luncheon, held in Philadelphia, Pa., on Jan. 16 as part of the 2010 NSCAA Convention.
