Many women would cringe saying, “I started my soccer career as a soccer mom.” However, I am proud to say that being a “soccer mom” set me on a path that has made soccer the core of my professional life.

Last month, the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) beat Canada 4-0 to win the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament after securing a berth to the 2012 London Olympics with their semifinal victory. After a short break they’ve now regrouped in Frisco, Texas to prepare for a February 11th match at 3 p.m. CT against New Zealand at FC Dallas Stadium.
