George Hageage
COACHING POSITION:
Head Women's Coach, Eastern Washington University
George Hageage is the Regional Director for Region XII which consists of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. He was among a select class of 12 to be honored with the first-ever National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Master Diploma. Hageage has taught a variety of NSCAA coaching courses, including the National Diploma. He has also been a featured author on “The Playbook” – the official blog of the NSCAA.
In addition to his work with the NSCAA, Hageage was recently invited to take an online coaching course offered through the League Manager’s Association School of Football Management. These development courses are reserved for professional coaches in Europe, most notably the football managers of the English Premier League, as well as special invitees.
George is the head coach at Eastern Washington University. During his time there he has been Big Sky Conference coach of the year (2004; has led his team to four appearances in the BSC semifinals; and his team has been honored with the NSCAA Team Academic Award nine years in a row.
Hageage has produced 62 All-Big Sky players, six All-Big Sky Championship honorees, two BSC Defensive Players of the Year, one BSC Newcomer of the Year, 133 Big Sky All-Academic team honorees, three ESPN The Magazine All-Academic Team mentions and one NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-West Region third team selection.
