Martin is the winningest active coach in college men's soccer. His career total of 585 wins ranks third all-time in college men's soccer. During the 2010 season, Martin passed Tony Tocco of Rockhurst on the career victories list.

Martin has guided his 34 Battling Bishop soccer teams to a 585-113-49 record, and his career winning percentage of .816 ranks ninth all-time.

In 2010, the Bishops extended their unbeaten string in North Coast Athletic Conference competition to a league-record 31 games, winning the conference championship race for the third straight season and the 19th time in the 27 seasons of NCAC competition. Ohio Wesleyan advanced to the NCAA Division III national quarterfinals and finished with a record of 19-2-2.
