Coach Reyes has an extensive career which spans 17 years of coaching at the college level and 20 plus years working with youth players. He holds several coaching credentials from the NSCAA including the Premier Diploma, Director of Coaching Diploma and the Goalkeeping Level II Diploma. Additionally, he holds a CONCACAF Special Topic Diploma.
Reyes has been recognized as a Conference Champion; Coach of The Year and guided 23 players to individual conference, regional and All American recognition. NSCAA Team Academic award for 9 years (3.0 or higher GPA- at USC Upstate & Newberry); NSCAA Top 10 Regional Ranking (7 years) ;Recognized at USC Upstate for Outstanding Partnership Award (2007); Outstanding Leadership Award (2008). He has served on NSCAA / NCAA Coaches Committee-Regional Ranking Committee (Chair); Regional All American Committee (Chair); National All American Selection Committee (for NCAA Division II); NCAA Division II National Championship Regional Selection Committee; NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer National Championship Site Representative. Additionally, he has moved through the ranks of the coaching profession serving as a state ODP Head Coach and also an ODP Region III staff coach.
A founding member and Executive Director: Soccer Vision Global – Player Development & Leadership Academy (Nov. 2009 – Present), he provides planning and oversight of summer and winter camp programs at various locations regionally and internationally. His work includes Consulting /Management of player development and leadership programs for youth players. He has developed a Small-Sided Games Training Curriculum; Collaborated on the development of Leadership Academy Curriculum; Served as Project Manager for Chicago City South Africa World Cup 2010 Coaching Education & Leadership project.
Reyes became an Associate Academy Staff coach with the NSCAA Coaching Education Academy in 2000 and was appointed to the Academy National Staff Instructor & State Director in 2007. He is responsible for planning, coordination and instruction of all lower level courses offered by the NSCAA in the state of South Carolina. He has been a presenter at the Annual NSCAA Convention featured Clinician (2005, 2008 & 2011); a featured clinician on Fox Soccer Channel (Soccer Tip of the week)-2009 & 2010 NCAA College season. He also has the responsibility of identifying and training NSCAA Associate Academy Staff Instructors within the state of South Carolina. Promoted training programs and curriculum in Bermuda, and Africa (Nigeria & Ghana) 2008. Delegate for the NSCAA at the African Cup of Nations Tournament (2008) in Ghana. Coach Reyes also serves the NSCAA Black Soccer Coaches Committee (BSCC ) as Vice Chairman 2nd term 2008 – Present.
