Overtraining is a serious condition that leads to unwanted physiological changes in the musculoskeletal system, which may lead to injury or impaired sports performance. In addition to the physiological effects, overtraining also has serious psychological implications including mood changes and decreased motivation toward training. So, how do we recognize the signs of overtraining? More important, because the negative effects of overtraining are so difficult to reverse, how can we prevent it?
