Diplomas, College Credits and Certificates
The NSCAA has made special arrangements for coaches to earn an NSCAA Diploma, a Professional Development Certificate (offered by NFHS and NSCAA), and college credit, for their active participation. Details about each of these opportunities are below.
NSCAA Diploma Opportunities
The NSCAA offers Convention participants the opportunity to earn an NSCAA Diploma by attending a designated series of session on-site. The five diplomas being offered this year are:
- NSCAA Level 2 Diploma
- NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 1 Diploma
- NSCAA Special Topics Diploma: Mental/Physical Player Development (focusing on the scientific aspects of player development to help coaches create a well rounded player)
- NSCAA Special Topics Diploma: Soccer Management and Development (emphasis on managieral topics such as budgeting, fundraising, legal issues and more)
- NSCAA Special Topics Diploma: Club Development (emphasis on topics such as Club Standards, Player Development, and Technical/Tactical sessions)
- NSCAA Special Topics Diploma: Future Coaches (learning how to get your coaching career started on the right foot)
NFHS/NSCAA Professional Development Certificate
- High school coaches attending the 2013 NSCAA Convention have the opportunity to garner a Professional Development Certificate endorsed by both the NFHS and NSCAA by attending specific sessions on the schedule.
College Credit
As a registrant at the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) convention, you are eligible to apply for University credit through the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
