    High School vs Club

Do you agree with the concept that US Soccer is implementing?
    NO HS SOCCER ALLOWED
    Where will this take us?
Is HS soccer that limiting in terms of development?

As a high school coach I clearly have a bias, but I dont believe the academy system is going to accomplish its goal of creating more elite level player. There are 78 academies and there is no way we have that many kids who will develop into professional caliber players. THe same kids that have opportunities now would have them if the academies did not exist. Having said that, since the US federation has spoken and its a done deal and I hope it makes us more competitive at the international level.

If you wish to see the position of the NSCAA in this matter, consult the Constituent Groups section of our website for a position paper issued by the NSCAA last October relative to choices that players should have in deciding what teams to play on/for.

    Thank you.
