U7 / U8 Player Roles Question.

Hi all.

Any ideas on whether a diamond shape is appropriate for a U7 or U8 Team to play matches with in a 4 v 4 league. Can players of this age understand this basic concept or is it better to just let them improvise all over the pitch?

Diamond shape is not of any value to them at that age all they want to do is play football also children at that age level bothering with certain tactical issues will make them lose interest in the game.
