2012 Palmetto Cup @ Brookland-Cayce HS (Cayce, SC)

Brookland-Cayce High School will host the 20th Annual Palmetto Cup April 11-14, 2012 at Cayce, South Carolina. The Palmetto Cup is recognized as "The Southeast's Premier Boys High School Soccer Tournament."

Joining the host Bearcats will be some of the top teams in the Palmetto State -- Bishop England (Charleston), Cardinal Newman (Columbia), Christ Church (Greenville), Fort Mill, Irmo, Lexington, Northwestern (Rock Hill), and Wando (Mount Pleasant). In addition, national power Norman North of Oklahoma will also participate. This stellar field figures to be our best yet!

• Cardinal Newman (10-0-0) - SCISA #1, Defending SCISA 3A State Champion

• Irmo (11-0-0) - NSCAA National #1, SCHSL 4A #1, Defending 4A State Runner-Up
• Lexington (5-8-0) - Defending Palmetto Cup Champion
• Norman North (3-0-0) - OK 6A #2
• Northwestern (9-2-0) - SCHSL 4A #4
• Wando (12-2-0) - SC 4A #3, Defending 4A State Champion

In the past, the Palmetto Cup has attracted prep teams from Alabama, Alaska, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wyoming.
