Coach course abroad (England)
Hello,
I am John Killeen and have been a member of a number of years in NSCAA and earned a National license 2 years ago. I have a unique opportunity and am looking for some suggestions from other coaches. Next February 2014, I am going to England for at least 3 weeks. I wish to connect with one of the many soccer clubs there and "follow" and be involved somehow to learn more about coaching and the in's and out's of a club. I by no means need to be with Manchester United or an EPL team so I am quite open mined about the club. Here are questions:
Are there coaching courses in ENgland or Europe that would achieve this desire?
Does any one have any contacts abroad that I could talk to about this?
Any other alternatives you see?
I would say that I have a pretty health budget and my employer will pay for a portion of it. I want to see as much soccer as possible in England and come back with more knowledge.
Any ideas?

I would highly recommend the Matrix Academy. Charlie Jackson, who currently works for Manchester City, would probably do whatever he could for you, including giving you the shirt off his back. I have Skyped with Charlie quite a bit and would love to get over to take his courses myself. He is the only English coach to ever be allowed to coach at the Ajax Academy. He has worked for City, Blackburne and Manchester United. His specialty is technical development among youth players ages 6-12. He would probably have you learn his system, observe all levels from school to academy and pro and attend a few City matches. Enjoy. His email is charliejacksonfc@hotmail.co.uk
