NSCAA Coaching Education Internship Opportunity
About the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA):
Based in Kansas City, Kan., the NSCAA is the largest coaches' organization in the United States. Since its founding in 1941, it has grown to include more than 26,000 members who coach both genders at all levels of the sport.
 
Intern Duties:
1.       Non-Residential Courses
Assist members of Education Department with general administration of NSCAA Non-Residential courses. Duties include but are not limited to:
·        posting new courses on the NSCAA website
·        packing and shipping course materials
·        printing and shipping out course diplomas
·        coding payment for courses
·        update course database as courses are closed out
 
2.       Residential Courses
Assist members of the Education Department with general administration of NSCAA Residential courses. Duties include, but are not limited to:
·        processing course confirmations
·        packing and shipping of course materials
·        assist with course housing/rooming lists
·        printing and shipping of course diplomas
·        travel to one or more academy to run course registration and check-in
 
3.       NSCAA Associate Staff Gear
Assist members of the Education Department with packing and shipping of NSCAA Associate Staff gear. Duties include, but are not limited to:
·        keeping inventory of gear shipped
·        update spreadsheet of which staff have received gear and what sizes
·        packing and shipping of gear
 
 
The ideal candidate for this position will be a sport management major or someone interested in soccer coaching as a profession. This person should have experience with all Microsoft Office programs. A soccer background is preferred, but not required.

Head Coach, Women's Soccer, Kalamazoo College

Title:  Head Coach, Women’s Soccer

 

Immediate supervisor:  Director of Athletics

 

Nature of duties:

Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Mich., an NCAA Division III, liberal arts institution in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, is seeking to fill a position as women’s head soccer coach.  This is a full-time appointment.  Responsibilities include leading and organizing all facets of a Division III soccer program during the traditional and non-traditional seasons, knowledge of and adherence to MIAA and NCAA rules, scheduling of non-league contests, recruiting, and overseeing the program’s budget.  Additional responsibilities include teaching courses in the PE Department and administrative duties as assigned by the athletic director.

 

Qualifications:

 

Requires a Bachelor’s degree with proven successful soccer coaching experience.  Master’s degree and collegiate soccer coaching experience are preferred, but not required.  Additional administrative experience in sports information and/or recruitment coordination is preferred.
