Three-time honoree Desjarlais leads list of 11 repeat winners

Many of the names appearing on the 2005 NSCAA/adidas Girls High School All-America Team will look familiar, as a total of 11 players selected this year are receiving the honor for a second time.

The returnees are led by Marti Desjarlais, a senior midfielder from Brookfield Central High School in Pewaukee, Wis., who has achieved NSCAA/adidas High School All-America status three times.

Earning a spot on the list for the second time were Jenny Baker (Eatonville [Wash.]), Lauren Cheney (Indianapolis [Ind.] North Central), Elizabeth Eng (Lake Zurich [Ill.]), Sara Gulley (J.W. Robinson/Fairfax, Va.), Christine Hagner (University/San Francisco, Calif.), Jill Hutchinson (Conestoga/Berwyn, Pa.), Jessica Lenze (McIntosh/Peachtree City, Ga.), Marci Pasenello (Honeoye Falls-Lima Central/Honeoye Falls, N.Y.) and Zhaleh Rezaie (Plano [Texas] West Senior).

All 80 of the honorees will be invited to the NSCAA All-America Luncheon, which will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21, as part of the 2006 NSCAA Convention in Philadelphia, Pa.
