Hislop, Lovejoy Lead 2005 NSCAA/adidas Women’s Division II All-America Team

cSix repeaters are selected to the first team

Three-time selections Laura Hislop (Franklin Pierce/Belfast, Northern Ireland) and Shannon Lovejoy (Seattle Pacific/Seattle, Wash.) are among the 35 players named to the 2005 NSCAA/adidas Women’s Division II All-America Team. A total of seven players were repeat selections to the squad.

Six of the seven players earning the honor for a second time were named to the first team: Hislop, Lovejoy, Kylee Hanavan (Metro State/Northglenn, Colo.), Sonya Hughes (Franklin Pierce/Balbriggan, Ireland), Claire Ramsdale (Carson-Newman/Birmingham, England) and Olaitan Yusuf (Clayton State/Ilorin, Nigeria). Nebraska-Omaha, which won the NCAA title, was represented by Elizabeth McGill (Omaha, Neb.), another repeat honoree who earned third-team honors. Ramsdale returned to the squad after being selected in 2003.

The honorees will be invited to the NSCAA All-America Luncheon, which will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21, as part of the 2006 NSCAA Convention in Philadelphia, Pa.
