Newest and most advanced coaching education program in the U.S.
The NSCAA is proud to announce the newest addition to the Coaching Education curriculum, the Master Coach Diploma. Two years in the making, the Master Coach Diploma is designed for coaches who have a desire not only for coaching the game but are also passionate about advancing the game in the United States.
"The NSCAA Master Coach Diploma enables NSCAA members to benefit from the traditions of our association and contribute to the future development of the coaching profession in ways that have not been possible prior to the establishment of this program," said NSCAA Director of Coaching Development Jeff Tipping. "The major objective of the program is to provide a long term opportunity for our members to be on the cutting edge of coaching education developments."
The Master Coach program is roughly designed along the same lines as the UEFA "A" and Pro licenses. Participants will be assigned an NSCAA staff member who will act as mentor and guide for the duration of the course. The Master Coach course will include a number of core projects that all participants must complete. Projects include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintain a year-long Logbook
- Visitation Weekends with select MLS or other international professional clubs
- Participation at the NSCAA National Convention
- Interviews with sporting and professional personalities
- Promotion of a selected soccer event
- Development of club and team charters and administrative guidelines
- Develpoment of support staff
-
Submission of practices to be reviewed/evaluated (via video)
Master Coach participants also will be required to fulfill a specified number of hours in the following special topics: Management, Leadership, Game Promotion, Fitness and Nutritition, Self Development and Sports Psychology.
At the time of the application, each coach will be required to select an area of focus for coursework. Master Coaches may choose from the following divisions: Youth, Junior, High School, Director of Coaching and College. Master Coach participants and their mentors will work closely throughout the length of the course. Tasks and projects will be discussed in a series of conference calls and meetings on a monthly and quarterly basis.
All coaches wishing to apply for the NSCAA Master Coach program must possess the NSCAA Premier Diploma with at least a "Good Pass" grade and be a current NSCAA member. The NSCAA will accept a maximum of two coaches for each division.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
