The University of New Mexico and Whitworth College are at the forefront of the 2005 NSCAA/adidas Men’s Scholar All-America Team as each placed three players on this year's squads.

New Mexico had Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy finalist Jeff Rowland (Albuquerque, N.M.) and teammates Andrew Boyens (Albuquerque, N.M.) on the first team while Brandon Moss (Albuquerque, N.M.) received second-team accolades. Another Hermann Trophy finalist, Jason Garey (Gonzales, La.), represents the Maryland Terrapins, the NCAA Division I national champions, along with Chris Lancos (Belford, N.J.).

Meanwhile, Whitworth's Todd Sabrowski (Oregon City, Ore.) and Ali Seyedali (Redmond, Wash.) were first-team selections, while Jonathan Carlson (Camas, Wash.) was selected to the third team

To be eligible for consideration for the team, a player must by at least a junior in academic standing, have no less than a 3.30 cumulative grade point average, start at least 50 percent of the team’s games and be nominated by an NSCAA member coach.

The 33 honorees will be invited to the NSCAA All-America Luncheon, which will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21, as part of the 2006 NSCAA Convention in Philadelphia, Pa.
