Led by Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy finalists Yael Averbuch (Upper Montclair, N.J.) and Heather O’Reilly (East Brunswick, N.J.) of North Carolina and Kerri Hanks (Allen, Texas) of Notre Dame, the four teams participating in this weekend’s NCAA Women’s College Cup have placed a total of 11 players on the 2006 NSCAA/adidas Division I All-America team.
O’Reilly claims her fourth All-America honor, tops among the players on this year’s squad. Earning the honor for the second time were Hanks and Irish teammate Jen Buczkowski (Elk Grove, Ill.), Penn State’s Ali Krieger (Dumfries, Va.), Florida State’s India Trotter (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), Danesha Adams (Shaker Heights, Ohio) of UCLA, Boston College’s Laura Georges (Versailles, France), Portland’s Stephanie Lopez (Elk Grove, Calif.), Tennessee's Ali Christoph (Columbus, Ohio) and Virginia's Becky Sauerbrunn (St. Louis, Mo.).
The team reflects a strong youth movement, with 11 sophomores (highlighted by Hermann Trophy finalists Averbuch and Hanks) and one freshman, UCLA’s Lauren Cheney (Indianapolis, Ind.), a two-time NSCAA/adidas National Player of the Year (high school and youth) in 2005.
The honorees were invited to the NSCAA All-America Luncheon, which was held on Saturday, Jan. 13, as part of the 2007 NSCAA Convention.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
