Led by sophomore midfielders Aline Pugliesi (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Megan Bruso (Douglas, Mass.), Young Harris College placed three players on the 2006 NSCAA/adidas Women’s Junior College Division I All-America Team. In Division III, national champion Richland College also had three players earn national accolades.

In addition to Pugliesi and Bruso, national championship Most Valuable Player Danila Monterro (Sao Paulo, Brazil) was a second team selection.

Richland placed freshman Karina Davila (Richardson, Texas) on the first team in Division III, while Courtney Bishop (Lewisville, Texas) and Traci Gibbs (Lewisville, Texas) were second team picks.

Nine players were repeat selections from 2005: Bruso, Melissa Gamble (Darton College/Albany, Ga.), Sarah Davies (Schoolcraft College/South Lyon, Mich.),  Sharon Barbosa (Community College of Rhode Island/Fall River, Mass.), Megan Kellett (Lewis and Clark Community College/O'Fallon, Mo.), Kerrie Brown (Monroe Community College/Irondequoit, N.Y.), Heather Emswiler (De Anza College), Eileen Coyle (Herkimer County Community College/Oneonta, N.Y.) and Janine Turcio (Herkimer County Community College/LaGrangeville, N.Y).

The 48 honorees were invited to the NSCAA All-America Luncheon, held on Saturday, Jan. 13, as part of the 2007 NSCAA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind.
