Ramos Among 2008 High School, Youth Regional Coaches of the Year

Former U.S. Men's National Team star and Hall of Famer Tab Ramos is among the high school and youth soccer coaches who have been recognized with the announcement of the 2008 NSCAA/adidas Regional Coaches of the Year.

Ramos, a past Olympian who earned 81 caps for the United States, was named the Youth Boys East Region Coach of the Year for his efforts with his New Jersey Soccer Academy players. In the High School Private/Parochial division, Evansville (Ind.) Memorial High School had both its coaches selected for the regional award: girls coach Angie Lensing and boys coach Bill Vieth, who claimed the honor for the second consecutive year.Regional Coaches of the Year are finalists for the NSCAA/adidas National Coach of the Year award at their respective levels. The national awards wiill be announced at the annual NSCAA Awards Banquet, which will be held Friday evening, Jan. 16, in the Grand Ballroom of the America's Center Convention Complex in St. Louis, Mo., as part of the 2009 NSCAA Convention.
