JP Dellacamera, one of the most-recognized soccer play-by-play commentators in the United States, has been selected to receive the Honorary All-America award by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
Each year the NSCAA Honorary All-America award is presented to those who have brought particular distinction to the sport of soccer through their efforts within and beyond the boundaries of the sport. Among past recipients are MLS owner/investor Lamar Hunt, Special Olympics founder Eunice Kennedy Shriver, comedian Jon Stewart, two U.S. astronauts and soccer legend Pelé. Dellacamera will be presented the award January 16, 2010, at the NSCAA All-America Luncheon, which will be held in conjunction with the 2010 NSCAA Convention in Philadelphia, Pa.
One of the leading authorities on international soccer in the United States, Dellacamera is the lead play-by-play commentator for ESPN’s coverage of Major League Soccer and telecasts of the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams. He has worked with ESPN for nearly three decades and has called the last six FIFA World Cups for a variety of networks (five on television, one on radio) and the last four FIFA Women’s World Cups.
A native of Waltham, Mass., Dellacamera was the lead game commentator for the 1999 Women’s World Cup seen on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC Sports, a seminal event for women’s sport. He teamed with analyst Wendy Gebauer-Palladino to call the most-watched soccer telecast in U.S. television history, the 1999 Women’s World Cup final on ABC. Dellacamera also has been the lead soccer play-by-play commentator for the last two Summer Olympic Games (Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008) for the NBC family of networks.
Dellacamera’s soccer experience includes working for ESPN International calling matches from the most famous soccer leagues and tournaments in the world, including UEFA Champions League finals. He also has called games for two Major League Soccer (MLS) teams – the Columbus Crew and New York Red Bulls (formerly the MetroStars). In 2001, he was lead commentator for TNT’s coverage of the Women’s United Soccer Association’s inaugural season, also serving as the television voice of the WUSA Boston Breakers that year.
His lengthy broadcasting career includes work in college basketball and the NHL. With ESPN, he has been involved in Stanley Cup playoff coverage, and the 2004 World Cup of hockey. He also has served as the TV play-by-play voice of the NHL's Atlanta Thrashers on Turner Sports and Fox Sports Network affiliates.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
