2009 NSCAA Writing Contest Features Repeat Winners

A trio of past recipients returns to the winner’s circle with the announcement of the awards in the 2009 NSCAA Writing Contest.

Charles Cuttone of Philly Soccer News, Sheldon Shealer of ESPNRise.com and Adam Zundell of MSNSportsNet.com are back to claim honors. Cuttone, who last won in 2007, earned the award in the Deadline/Game Story category with his article “Like a Huge Win: U.S. Emotional Over a Meaningless Draw.” Shealer’s piece about the University of Akron’s men’s team, “Akron Soccer Class has Zip” took honors in the College division, while Zundell claimed the award for Best Column with “Growth of College Soccer.”
