Martinez, Ohai Named NSCAA High School Players of the Year

Enzo Martinez (Northwestern High School/Rock Hill, S.C.) and Kealia Ohai (Alta High School/Sandy, Utah) have been named the 2009 NSCAA/adidas High School National Players of the Year. They will be recognized at the annual All-America Luncheon, held in Philadelphia, Pa., on Jan. 16, as part of the 2010 NSCAA Convention.

About Enzo Martinez
A three-time South Carolina state player of the year, the senior forward set the state record for career goals with 182, the sixth-most in interscholastic history. A four-time all-state selection and SCASA Player of the Year, he tallied 454 points in his high school career and had 29 hat tricks. A two-time NSCAA High School All-America, he also helped lead Discoveries SC to the USYS U-18 national title. He now plays at North Carolina.

About Kealia Ohai
A three-time Utah Most Valuable Player, the senior forward also is a three-time NSCAA All-America and has been earned first-team all-state honors four times. She has led her team to a record of 74-1-4 while scoring a total of 126 goals at Alta High School. She has committed to play at the University of North Carolina.
