The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and Disney Destinations, LLC have announced a comprehensive partnership in support of Disney Soccer Events at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Soccer Complex, including designation of the NSCAA as the Official Sponsor of Disney’s Soccer Showcase Coaches Hospitality Area.
As part of their sponsorship of the tournament’s Coaches Hospitality Area, the NSCAA will gain the opportunity to interact with more than 800 NCAA soccer coaches and scouts who regularly attend the Soccer Showcase at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort every December. Through its interaction with the coaches, the NSCAA can further its mission of better servicing the soccer community. With more than 30,000 members, the NSCAA is the nation’s largest coaches association, regardless of sport.
"Relationships are a big part of the Disney Sports business philosophy and we are proud to be working alongside the NSCAA to not only promote the Disney soccer program but the game in general," said Patrick Dicks, sports area manager for Disney Sports. "The NSCAA brings a high level of expertise to the table. As we move forward and work together, I expect to see some new and exciting soccer opportunities."
“The NSCAA is proud to add Disney’s Soccer Events to our growing list of partners,” said NSCAA CEO and Executive Director Joe Cummings. “Few entities are as immediately recognizable as the Disney brand. This wide-ranging relationship will enhance the NSCAA’s presence among its key audiences while adding a new facet to Disney’s long-standing commitment to soccer.”
Disney’s Soccer Showcase presented by Chelsea Football Club features more than 520 teams and roughly 9,500 athletes from around the country. As part of the partnership with the NSCAA, the association will provide instructional seminars regarding preparation for the college experience and the recruiting process. The tournament annually attracts the most decorated high school soccer players in the nation, many of whom are heavily recruited by the country’s leading collegiate soccer powerhouses such as North Carolina, Notre Dame and Wake Forest. The best of the best are selected to Disney’s Soccer Showcase All-Star team, which will train at the famed Chelsea Football Academy near London and then compete against a variety of elite international youth soccer teams.
Disney’s Soccer Showcase presented by Chelsea Football Club is one of several soccer tournaments held at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The others are:
- Disney’s Memorial Day Soccer Shootout (May 29-31)
- Disney’s Pre-Season Soccer Kick-off (Aug. 20)
- Disney’s Summer Soccer Jamboree (June 18-20)

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
