In an effort to raise the level of technical ability of youth soccer players throughout the United States, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has joined iSoccer, US Club Soccer and numerous clubs and coaches across the nation in the National Standards Project (NSP), a high-tech program designed to measure, assess and train the future soccer stars of America.
In a partnership announced June 1, 2010, iSoccer, the leader in technical assessment and online youth soccer training software, the NSCAA and US Club Soccer will participate in the NSP, a long-term initiative to measure, benchmark and track the technical ability of the 18.2 million youth soccer players in the U.S.
The NSCAA is sponsoring one-month free premium iSoccer subscription for every coach who registers during the month of June and will serve as the Official Coaching Education Partner of the National Standards Project. Following the one-month free premium membership, NSCAA members will receive a 50 percent discount off premium memberships from iSoccer.
“This partnership and initiative is representative of NSCAA’s mission to help our members excel in their coaching careers through advancing the coaching of soccer and improving players,” stated NSCAA CEO and Executive Director Joe Cummings. “It further enhances the broad range of benefits available to NSCAA member coaches, helping their raise the technical level of play in our country.”
“We are very excited to have the NSCAA and US Club Soccer join the National Standards Project,” said iSoccer Founder and CEO Scott Leber. “Both organizations share a commitment to raising the level of soccer in the United States and we look forward to working collectively toward that goal. If our collective goal as coaches is to produce more technical players, we need to start by determining our current technical level. Once we have standard benchmarks, we will be able to evaluate and improve our player development efforts.” To ensure a representative sample, iSoccer will collect 1,000,000 assessment results by the end of 2010. With the youth soccer expertise and combined memberships of roughly 1.5 million players and 40,000 coaches, the NSCAA and US Club Soccer will be instrumental in achieving these goals.
This partnership also builds upon the strong relationship NSCAA has with US Club Soccer. Together, the organizations jointly offer NSCAA/US Club Soccer Director of Coaching Diploma courses which examine the technical, conceptual, leadership and administrative skills of future and current Directors of Coaching for youth soccer clubs for the purpose of developing the youth soccer player.
National assessment tools are free for both coaches and players at www.TheStandardsProject.org.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
