2010 NSCAA/Mondo Youth Regional Coaches of the Year Announced

Four youth soccer coaches have been selected as the 2010 NSCAA/Mondo Youth Regional Coaches of the Year, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America has announced.

The four now are eligible to be selected as the 2010 NSCAA/Mondo Youth National Coach of the Year. The winner will be announced at the annual NSCAA Awards Banquet, to be held Friday evening, Jan. 14, at the Hilton Baltimore in conjunction with the 2011 NSCAA Convention in Baltimore, Md.

2010 NSCAA/Mondo Youth Regional Coaches of the Year

Central: Cecil Hinds, Houston Dynamo Gulf Coast, Mississippi 
Prior to joining Houston Dynamo Mississippi Hinds served as the Chicago Fire Juniors of Mississippi Assistant Director of Coaching, where he coached his 92 Girls team and 93 Boys team respectively to state championships and regional tournament appearances. He currently serves as a Mississippi ODP Staff Coach and a MYSA Staff Youth Instructor.

South: Sean Bubb, Lonestar SC, Austin, Texas
As executive director of soccer for Lonestar SC, Bubb oversees both boys and girls programs. He joined Lonestar in 2005, when the club consisted of 900 players. Today the club’s roster has grown to 5,000 players. As a coach, Bubb's Lonestar teams have won dozens of state titles and four regional championships (93G, 92B, 96B and 91G). Last summer the 91G from Lonestar became the first girls team from South Texas to win a national championship. Bubb has been a Region III ODP coach for a number of years, helping hundreds of players find collegiate programs to play for. 

North: Adil Salmoni, Michigan Wolves-Hawks, Livonia, Mich.
Salmoni coaches the U-15 Wolves Black, U-15 Hawks, U-18 Wolves and U-18 Hawks. In addition to his youth club work, he has coached Greenhill High School to 10 regional titles, four state championship appearances and one state title. In 2010, his U-15 and U-17 Hawks teams captured the US Youth Soccer Region II championship trophy.

East: Pete Doneit, Beachside (Conn.) Soccer Club
Doneit led the Beachside U-16 boys team to two State Cup titles and in 2010 advanced to the finals of US Youth Soccer Region I championship, only to lose in double overtime to the defending national champion Baltimore Bays. He also is the assistant goalkeeper coach for the University of Bridgeport, Director of Goalkeeper for Beachside and Program Director for the Beachside Juniors Developmental Program.
