Borrosh, Jackson Selected to NSCAA Hall of Fame

Joe Borrosh of Pittsford-Mendon High School in Pittsford, N.Y., and Terry Jackson of Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn., have been selected as the 50th and 51st members of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Hall of Fame. They will be inducted into the Hall at the Association’s Awards Banquet on Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, held at the Hilton Baltimore in Baltimore, Md, in conjunction with the 2011 NSCAA Convention.
About Joe Borrosh
Borrosh enjoyed a highly successful 32-year career coaching interscholastic soccer at Pittsford’s Central and Mendon high schools. He compiled a career record of 498-102-63, good for a sparkling .799 winning percentage. The 1989 NSCAA National High School Coach of the Year, he also earned New York State Coach of the Year honors three times while leading his teams to a total of six state championships. Borrosh also has given back to the sport off the field in a variety of capacities. He served as the New York Section 5 Chair and spent 17 years on the State Soccer Committee. He also chaired the NSCAA’s High School History and Record Committee for 15 years, served as chair of the NSCAA Region II All-America Committee and spent six years as the High School Boys Representative on the NSCAA Board of Directors. Borrosh’s wife, Brenda Gibson, won NSCAA National Coach of the Year honors in 1988, making them the first husband-wife tandem to receive the award.
About Terry Jackson
In a 31-year career at Wesleyan University that included duties as the men’s lacrosse coach, Jackson compiled a 209-163-39 record, good for a .556 winning percentage and making him the winningest soccer coach ever at Wesleyan. A 1960 Springfield College graduate, he was an All-America in soccer and played on the 1957 national championship team coached by NSCAA Hall of Famer Irv Schmid. Prior to his service at Wesleyan, Terry coached two years (1961-62) at Indiana University and five years at Moravian College, fashioning a 36-36-3 record in that span. Jackson has served the sport in numerous capacities, including service on the NSCAA All-America Committee and the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League Academic All America Committee. He rose to the presidency of both organizations, serving as NSCAA president in 1977. He received the NSCAA’s Honor Award in 1993.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
