Brian Leads NSCAA/People to People Girls Youth All-America Team

Morgan Brian of St. Simons Island, Ga., has been named the NSCAA/People to People Girls Youth Player of the Year and is among the 37 players who have been named to the 2010 NSCAA/People to People Girls Youth All-America Team.

A two-time NSCAA Youth All-America, Brian also was named to the NSCAA Girls High School All-America Team while playing for Frederica Academy. She has led that team to three consecutive Georgia 2A state titles while maintaining a 3.8 grade point average. She plays for Ponte Vedra Soccer Club in Jacksonville, Fla., a team that has consistently ranked among the top 20 in the nation. A member of the U-17 U.S. National Team since 2008, she was named captain of the team in 2010 and is the all-time goal scoring leader at that level, finding the net 14 times in 17 matches. She has verbally committed to play for the University of Virginia.

Brian and the remainder of the team will be honored at the annual All-America Luncheon, to be held at the Hilton Baltimore Hotel on Saturday, Jan. 15, as part of the 2011 NSCAA Convention.
