Eight players competing in the NCAA College Cup in Santa Barbara, Calif., are among the 36 players named to the 2010 NSCAA/Performance Subaru Men’s NCAA Division I All-America Team.

North Carolina leads the way with three (Jalil Anibaba, Michael Farfan and Enzo Martinez), while Akron (Darlington Nagbe and Kofi Sarkodie) and Louisville (Austin Berry and Colin Rolfe) each have two and Michigan has one (Soony Saad). Saad is one of only two freshmen on the team, along with UCLA’s Kelyn Rowe.

Nagbe, one of three finalists for the Missouri Athletic Club’s Hermann Trophy, Farfan and Rolfe are among the five players to earn the honor a second time, along with Zac MacMath of Maryland and Ryan Kinne of Monmouth.

North Carolina, California and Maryland each placed three players on the squad, while seven other teams have two players listed: Akron, Butler, Connecticut, Duke, Louisville, Monmouth and Penn State.

The players will be honored at the annual All-America Luncheon, to be held at the Hilton Baltimore Hotel on Saturday, Jan. 15, as part of the 2011 NSCAA Convention.
