Nine Players Repeat as NSCAA/Performance Subaru Women’s Division I All-Americas

Laura Heyboer (Michigan State/Havertown, Pa.) earned honors for the third consecutive year with the announcement of the 49 players named to the 2010 NSCAA/Performance Subaru Women’s NCAA Division I All-America Team.

Joining Heyboer as repeat selections from the 2009 squad are Vicki DiMartino (Boston College/Massapequa, N.Y.), Sinead Farrelly (Virginia/Havertown, Pa.), Lauren Fowlkes (Notre Dame/Lee’s Summit, Mo.), Sydney Leroux (UCLA/Vancouver, B.C.) and Christen Press (Stanford/Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.). Amanda DaCosta (Florida State/Katonah, N.Y.) and Teresa Noyola (Stanford/Palo Alto, Calif.) are back after making the 2008 squad, while Ingrid Wells (Georgetown/Upper Montclair, N.J.) returns after being selected in 2007.

The four teams participating in the Women’s College Cup had a total of nine players selected: Boston College with two (DiMartino and Kristen Mewis), Notre Dame with two (Folkes and Melissa Henderson), Ohio State with two (Cassie Dickerson and Paige Maxwell) and Stanford with three (Press, Noyola and Courtney Verloo).

The players will be honored at the annual All-America Luncheon, to be held at the Hilton Baltimore Hotel on Saturday, Jan. 15, as part of the 2011 NSCAA Convention.
