Brian Ward of Fayetteville-Manlius High School in Manlius, N.Y., has been named the 2010 Boys High School Scholar Athlete of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Ward is among the 36 high school players named to the 2010 NSCAA Boys High School Scholar All-America Team.
Ward is one of two Scholar All-Americas who also were named to the NSCAA High School All-America Team, along with Tyler Leeman (Montville High School/Oakdale, Conn.). A three-time first-team All-Central New York selection, Ward was the Central New York Counties League Player of the Year as a sophomore, junior and senior and started for the varsity all four years. A member of the National Honor Society and Science Honor Society, he organized a soccer “pink out” breast cancer awareness event that raise more than $2,800. In February he will make his third mission trip to El Salvador, where he has helped rural communities in a variety of projects. He will play for Bucknell University next fall, where he plans to study civil/environmental engineering.
Ward and the remainder of the team will be honored at the annual All-America Luncheon, to be held at the Hilton Baltimore Hotel on Saturday, Jan. 15, as part of the 2011 NSCAA Convention.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
