Belmont University women's soccer coach Lisa Howe reportedly was released from her position after announcing her intent to have a baby with her same-sex partner. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) is not commenting on the situation directly, but has issued the following statement.
"The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) is a professional organization dedicated to equipping soccer coaches to meet the demands of coaching the modern game through an extensive Academy program, providing education and training on the latest coaching methods.
“As demonstrated in the concepts set forth in its Code of Ethics, the NSCAA believes that coaches should be selected and retained on the basis of their proficiency in coaching and their adherence to the highest standards of ethical conduct. Coaching candidates should not be discriminated against on the basis of gender, race, religious affiliation, creed, color, nationality or sexual orientation.
"All coaches must be afforded due process of law when disciplined or terminated from employment."

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
