NSCAA Expands Services for Two-Year Institutions

In response to research and feedback over the past 18 months, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has announced additional services that will be available to all soccer teams at two-year institutions that are members of the association’s College Services program.
“These changes to the benefits offered to our College Services members at the junior college level are the product of numerous candid and productive discussions with member coaches at that level,” said NSCAA CEO and Executive Director Joe Cummings.
Beginning with the 2011 season, two-year institutional soccer programs will receive expanded benefits when they register for the newly discounted College Services program, including individual NSCAA memberships for the head coach and one assistant. A key element of the program is eligibility for the various awards programs administered by the NSCAA, and the junior college initiative includes enhancements in several areas. The number of teams included in the NSCAA national rankings for each junior college division will be expanded from 15 to 20 in 2011, and a separate Assistant Coach of the Year award will be presented at the junior college level. In 2012, a Scholar All-America team also will be selected for two-year institutions in addition to the regular All-America teams.
“We appreciate the NSCAA understanding and serving the special needs of soccer at two-year institutions,” said Steve Clements, men’s coach at Tyler Junior College. “We encourage all our members to take advantage of this special offer and to show our appreciation of this organization and its dedication to the advancement of our game.”
“The expanded services and revised fee structure will provide new opportunities to recognize our student-athletes and coaches, and provide access for the professional development of our coaching staffs,” said Frank Lawrence, women’s coach at Brookdale Community College. “We look forward to a long partnership with the NSCAA.”

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
