NSCAA Enhancement Series Launched; Three Sites Set for 2011

The NSCAA announces the creation of a new educational event, the NSCAA Enhancement Series, that is designed to help coaches of boys and girls aged 14 to 18 improve their understanding of soccer coaching.
The Enhancement Series is two-day event that will further advance the NSCAA’s educational mission. Coaches will receive instruction in the areas of match analysis, in-game adjustments, systems and styles of play and team management. Coaches also will enhance their skills in team building and interacting with parents.
“The launch of the Enhancement Series is an exciting new facet of the NSCAA’s educational offerings,” said NSCAA CEO and Executive Director Joe Cummings. “By targeting the U-14 to U-18 age range, this series becomes relevant not only to youth and club coaches, but also to coaches of high school teams. Those categories comprise nearly three-quarters of our membership base, so the series clearly demonstrates our commitment to serving our members.”
The Enhancement Series will be held this summer in three different cities across the country. Kansas City, Kan., is the site of the first session, to be held July 29-30. San Jose, Calif., (Aug. 12-13) and Houston, Texas, (Sept. 16-17) are the final two locations.
Kansas City is the location of the inaugural session, which will be held at the Great Wolf Lodge. Located in the Village West development in western Kansas City, Great Wolf Lodge is convenient to the Legends shopping complex and the newly-opened LIVESTRONG Sporting Park, home to Sporting Kansas City of Major League Soccer. Coaches and their families can enjoy a variety of activities in the area.
All coaches will have the opportunity to attend an MLS game at each Series location. Sporting Kansas City will play host to the New England Revolution on the evening of July 30, while San Jose will play the Colorado Rapids on Aug. 13, and the Houston Dynamo will play host to the San Jose Earthquakes on Sept. 17.
NSCAA National Staff Coach Rob Herringer will lead the Kansas City course. The men’s coach at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan., Herringer has a 70-28-11 record in six seasons. The former boys and girls coach at Leavenworth (Kan.) High School earned Sunflower Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2005 and was named the 2004 Kansas State Youth Soccer ODP Coach of the Year.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
