Astronaut Sandra Magnus, who received the NSCAA's Honorary All-America award in January 2009, made space history as a member of the crew for the final Space Shuttle flight, which launched from Kennedy Space Center on Friday, July 8, 2011.
A former high school soccer player who remains active as a coach and player, Magnus transmitted a video of her acceptance of the Honorary All-America award from the International Space Station, where she was serving a four-month tour of duty during the 2009 NSCAA Convention and All-America Luncheon.
Magnus is the third astronaut to receive Honorary All-America honors, along with Apollo 8 astronaut William Anders (the first NSCAA Honorary All-America) in 1972 and Sonny Carter in 1991.
Magnus' official NASA bio can be viewed HERE.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
