Fans of the NSCAA College Game of the Week on FOX Soccer now have the ability to play an active role in the 2011 broadcast through Screenreach’s Screach application on their smartphones.
Screach will be used to allow two-way real-time interaction between fans and the content they will be viewing, either on screen or in the game venue. NSCAA has created a Game of the Week experience that can be accessed via Screach, enabling fans to view starting lineups, submit questions to the on-air announcers, share their opinions and vote for the Disney Soccer/NSCAA Player of the Game. The app can be downloaded from the Apple Store (for iPhone) and the Market (for Android phones). Fans will be prompted to enter the code “888” into the app to load the Game of the Week features.

“The NSCAA Screach experience is one of the most impressive yet as it has multiple features for fans to enjoy,” said Screenreach CEO Paul Rawlings. “It allows fans to enjoy a richer experience and in turn, for NSCAA to engage with those fans on a whole new level. We are sure that fans will enjoy the features this app allows them to access. It's a great way for them to be able to create a conversation around the game.”

“The addition of this app to our College Game of the Week package is an exciting innovative to our broadcasts this fall,” stated NSCAA CEO and Executive Director Joe Cummings. “The branded interactive experience created by Screenreach delivers a new level of fan engagement that we’re pleased to bring to college soccer viewers.”

The experience will launch on a limited basis during the first game of the 2011 schedule. The College of Charleston hosts No. 15 South Carolina in a men’s contest at 6 p.m. ET on Friday, Aug. 26. Fans will be able to vote for the Disney Soccer/NSCAA Player of the Game through the Screach app  any time in the second half. The full experience will come online on Friday, Sept. 2, when No. 4 Maryland hosts Stanford at 7:30 p.m. ET. The first women’s game will be at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Sept. 7, between Milwaukee and (11) Marquette, which is ranked No. 12 in the NSCAA/Continental Tire National Rankings.
