Men
The University of Connecticut retains the No. 1 spot with an undefeated record after a challenging week which saw victories over Yale and No. 11 Louisville. Both games were decided by one goal in the second overtime period.
After a slow start, Duke has revitalized its season with key ACC wins . In Friday’s NSCAA College Game of the Week on FOX Soccer, the Blue Devils held in-state rival No.4 North Carolina to a 2-2 draw. Duke is on the verge of breaking back into the top 25, hovering in a tie for the 26th spot with Providence. After a rough Week Five, Central Florida redeemed itself with victories over Kentucky in overtime and SMU. The wins propelled them from the 14th spot to No. 8 this week, while the loss sent Kentucky out of the rankings this week.
Creighton drops to No. 5 with a 1-0 loss in regulation to No. 2 Maryland. The win pushes Maryland up a spot despite losing the top spot in Week 5 after a tie to Seton Hall. Iona made the largest jump this week, entering the rankings at No. 18. A total of six teams jumped into the top 25 this week: No. 20 San Diego State, No. 21 Xavier, No. 22 William & Mary, No. 24 Santa Clara and No. 25 Cal State Bakersfield.
This week’s NSCAA College Game of the Week features the defending NCAA champions No. 3 Akron Zips at No. 19 UC Santa Barbara. The Gauchos' hot start in 2011 was slowed by two consecutive losses last week, putting them at 6-3-1 on the season.

Women
Stanford remains at No. 1 for the third straight week with wins over Washington and Washington State. The Cardinal remains unbeaten this season with a record of 11-0-1.
The top eight remain the same for another week. No. 2 Oklahoma State has yet to lose or tie a game this season and boasts a 14-game win streak. Penn State moved up this week from No. 24 to No. 18 with conference wins over Ohio State and Minnesota. Oregon State jumped four slot to No. 19 with a win over USC and a loss at No. 3 UCLA.
All the movement upward saw several previously-ranked teams slip out of the Top 25 this week. West Virginia, California and UC Irvine fell out but are still receiving votes as they look to bounce back after this week.
Formerly ranked Portland travels to Provo, Utah, to face BYU on the Thursday, Oct. 6, for the women’s NSCAA College Game of the Week.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
