NSCAA Women's Committee members Erica Walsh (left, Penn State) and Nancy Feldman (Boston University) each led their teams to 2011 NCAA tournament berths.
The fields for NCAA Division I, II and III Women's Soccer Championships were announced on Monday, Nov. 7. The NSCAA Women's Committee would like to extend congratulations to all member coaches whose teams reached the tournament.
In the NCAA Division I bracket, all four No. 1 seeds are on a quest for their program’s first NCAA National Championship. Three of the top seeds hail from the ACC conference: Duke was an at-large selection after securing the regular season title, Florida State was the league’s automatic qualifier as the conference tournament champion, and Wake Forest was also an at-large selection as the conference tournament runner-up. The final No. 1 seed is Stanford, undefeated in the regular season and the Pac-12 champion.
ACC and SEC conferences dominated the bracket, with nine teams and eight teams, respectively, representing each conference. Other conferences with significant representation include the Pac-12 (five teams), the Big 12 (five), the Big East (four), and the Big Ten (three).
Different than last year, only one match will take place on the first weekend of the tournament, which will fall on November 11, 12, or 13. Second and third round matches will be held on November 18 and 20, both taking place at the same campus site. Elite Eight matches are slated for November 25, 26, or 27 and the NCAA Women’s College Cup will come the following weekend in Kennesaw, Ga. at KSU Soccer Stadium.
The NCAA Division I College Cup semifinal matches will take place on December 2; the national championship game is on December 4 at 1:00pm and will be televised on ESPNU.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
