Lauren Emmerson (Tyler Junior College/Kilwinning, Scotland) has been named the 2011 NSCAA Women's Junior College Division I National Player of the Year after helping Tyler Junior College to its second national championship in three years. She leads the 2011 NSCAA/Continental Tire Women's Junior College Division I All-America Team.

Emmerson scored eight goals and had 19 assists as Tyler ran the table in a 24-0 season. She suffered only one loss in 42 games during her two-year stint at Tyler.

Two players earned their second selection to the All-America Team in as many years: Kiersten Mottl (Lewis & Clark Community College/Florissant, Mo.) and Alexis Trybinski (Southwestern Illinois College/Collinsville, Ill.). Two schools each had three players selected: Darton College and Laramie County Community College. Tyler was joined by Chandler-Gilbert Community College, Community College of Rhode Island and Monroe Community College as schools with two representatives on the roster.

The 23 players will be recognized at the annual All-America Luncheon, to be held in the Kansas City Convention Center's Grand Ballroom on Saturday, Jan. 14, in conjunction with the 2012 NSCAA Convention in Kansas City, Mo.
