Cara Curtin (Santa Rosa Junior College/Santa Rosa, Calif.), who led Santa Rosa Junior College to the first state title by a Northern California team in 15 years, has been named the 2011 NSCAA Women's Junior College Division III National Player of the Year. She is joined by her twin sister, Lauren, on the 2011 NSCAA/Continental Tire Women's Junior College Division III All-America Team.

Cara scored all four goals for Santa Rosa in the state championship game, including the game-winner in double overtime off an assist from her sister. Cara’s scoring ability helped Santa Rosa average more than three goals per game this season, and 13 of the squad’s 20 wins were shutouts.

Two players earned a repeat selection to this year's squad: Sonia Basma (Montgomery College-Rockville/Silver Spring, Md.) and Colby Henderson (Finger Lakes Community College/Canandiagua, N.Y.). The 22 players will be recognized at the annual All-America Luncheon, to be held in the Kansas City Convention Center's Grand Ballroom on Saturday, Jan. 14, in conjunction with the 2012 NSCAA Convention in Kansas City, Mo.
