Vaca and Ortega to Discuss Player Development in Mexico

The Latin American Soccer Coaches Association (LASCC) will be presenting “Player Development in Mexico” with Jose Enrique Vaca Pacheco, General Coordinator, and Juan Carlos Ortega Orozco, Technical and Tactical Coordinator of the Mexican Youth National Teams. Attendees of the 2012 NSCAA Convention can view the lecture session starting at 2:15 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12, in Room 2103 AB and Saturday Jan. 14 at 11:00 a.m., in Room 2102 AB of the Kansas City Convention Center.
Vaca and Ortega will discuss ways the Mexican Youth National Teams are raising the level of competition at the national and international level by focusing on the important areas of individual and team development. Among the areas they will discuss are the concepts of teamwork being used for their youth teams and the integrity and respect for different areas of the team.
Vaca took over as the General Coordinator of the Mexican Youth National Teams for the Mexican Federation in January 2011.
He is responsible for the operation and administration of the U-15, U-17, U-18, U-20, Beach Soccer and Women’s National teams. Prior to this position, he was the director of schools of Fútbol Club America in Mexico and the United States, where he was responsible for the incorporation of the methodology, training, tryouts, soccer clinics, tournaments and logistics of the club. He was a member of Club America during the championship seasons of 1984-85 and 1987-88. Vaca participated in the FIFA Youth World Cup in 1981 and scored a goal against Egypt.

Ortega is the Technical and Tactical Coordinator of the Mexican Youth National Teams. He served as an assistant coach at Club Deportivo Guadalajara for the past seven seasons. Ortega played in the midfield for the University of Guadalajara, Tigres UANL, Leon AC and Correcaminos de la Universidad de Tamaulipas and Bachilleres from 1993 to 2000, when he retired from playing.
LASCC also will host an open meeting in Room 2210 of the Convention Center from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, and will have a presence in the Exhibit Hall at the NSCAA booth for any coaches interested in getting involved.
LASCC is a committee within the National Soccer Coaches Association of America dedicated to promoting and assisting the development of soccer in the Latino community in the United States. LASCC disseminates information on educational opportunities for coaches and on strategies for the effective organization of different levels and categories of soccer in Latino communities. The main objective is to ensure that the Latino community is an important part of the development of soccer in the United States. LASCC values are centered on the values of soccer, camaraderie, support, teamwork, communication, joint and individual development and respect for the game and its rules.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
