2012 NSCAA Foundation Jersey Raffle a Success
Posted by NSCAA on Jan 20, 2012 in Events 0 Comments
The NSCAA Foundation raised more than $300 during the 2012 NSCAA Convention thanks to the annual jersey raffle. Convention attendees had the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets and enter in a drawing for various autographed soccer jerseys donated from teams in Women’s Professional Soccer, Major League Soccer and Barclay’s English Premier League.
In 1989, the NSCAA established the NSCAA Foundation Committee. “The NSCAA Foundation’s mission is to provide soccer coaching educational opportunities to underserved socioeconomic communities, geographic areas, and ethnic groups throughout the United States.”
The Foundation firmly believes in the broader societal benefits of soccer as a recreational activity, an avenue for health and fitness, a means of building leadership skills, and a competitive sport. We believe we can provide these benefits through soccer coaching education. The Foundation’s primary program activity is direct financial support through grants and through scholarships to coaching education programs.
The NSCAA would also like to thank the WPS, adidas, Puma and Elite Soccer Magazinefor their donations to this year's raffle.
The winners for the jerseys are listed below:
Atlanta Beat – Seth Brown
Atlanta Beat – Daniel Lingenfelter
Boston Breakers- Rudy Raffo
Houston Dynamo – Ken Skidmore
LA Galaxy – Jeff Carr
Newcastle United – Jerome de Bontin
Philadelphia Independence – Kent Canady

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
