It’s time to mark your calendars for January 16-20 and save the date to join us at “The World’s Largest Annual Gathering of Soccer Coaches and Administrators.” We are almost halfway to the 2013 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Convention and preparations are underway! The 2013 event, held in Indianapolis, IN at the Indiana Convention Center, will feature many exciting events that make the Convention the top place for soccer coaches and administrators to Learn. Participate. Belong.
Each year, the NSCAA Convention draws over 10,000 total attendees who travel from all over the country – and around the world – to immerse themselves in five days and four nights of round-the-clock soccer. Between the 36 live field sessions and 40 lectures to the Exhibit Hall and awards banquet there is enough packed into the full schedule to keep anyone busy and whether it’s learning the basics of coaching goalkeepers or a high-level discussion of systems of play, every coach who attends will find something new to add to their soccer repertoire.
Returning in 2013 the MLS SuperDraft, which is open to the public to the delight of many MLS fans, will be a featured event along with the NSCAA All-America Luncheon where we are proud to be able to honor the nation’s top players from the youth through collegiate level. Another attendee-favorite is the FOX Soccer broadcast LIVE from the NSCAA Convention where many of soccer’s top names discuss The Beautiful Game. Last year, fans were not only allowed to attend, but participate by asking questions of the show hosts as well.
Finally, the Exhibit Hall annually showcases more than 250 exhibitors covering 600,000 square feet, making it the largest soccer trade show in North America. Attendees can examine the latest soccer-related technology and equipment. To learn more about the Exhibit Hall, click here.
The theme of the 2013 NSCAA Convention is “Innovate to Elevate”. Educational sessions at the Convention will focus on innovative and new techniques, training plans and more meant to help coaches elevate their teams and their career. As we encourage our members to excel in their coaching careers as well as advance the coaching of soccer, the NSCAA has followed suit by adding two brand new features to the NSCAA Convention beginning in Indianapolis.
The first is the NSCAA’s partnership with US Youth Soccer, the largest youth soccer organization in the United States. The 2013 edition of the NSCAA Convention will be the first to combine with US Youth Soccer and bring the US Youth Soccer Workshop to the NSCAA Convention. This partnership not only furthers the NSCAA mission to be the leading organization in the world dedicated to serving the needs of soccer coaches but in working with US Youth Soccer the Convention will now feature enhanced youth coaching sessions and the administrative and referee education sessions that have been a hallmark of the US Youth Soccer Workshop in the past. To learn more about the partnership, click here.
Also new to the 2013 Convention will be the Education Experience Tracks. These tracks consist of five field and five lecture sessions geared towards coaches of specific age groups – U-23, U-18, U-14 or U-10 – that the NSCAA puts together for you. These will allow attendees to participate in a structured, non-conflicting learning environment just for their specific needs.
With the return of all of the annual Convention traditions, the addition of US Youth Soccer’s Workshop and the Education Experience Tracks, the NSCAA hopes you join us in our mission to “Innovate to Elevate” the soccer community for the 2013 Convention in Indianapolis.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
