The Miller Bugliari Fund

The NSCAA Foundation—charitable arm of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America—has established and is seeking contributions toward a permanently-endowed fund in honor of Miller Bugliari—Boys Soccer Coach at The Pingry School for more than 50 years, second winningest high school boys soccer coach in New Jersey history, past president of the NSCAA, and recipient of the NSCAA Honor Award. To date, more than $46,000 has been raised for The Miller Bugliari Fund, but we are continuing to seek contributions in this campaign to increase the endowment fund in honor of Miller.
The Miller Bugliari Fund will provide financial aid to deserving youth soccer coaches and grants to youth soccer organizations in targeted, underserved communities, especially in urban areas, and enable coaches to attend NSCAA Coaching Academy education courses.
The Case for Support—In 1989, the NSCAA established the NSCAA Foundation. Its mission is to provide soccer coaching educational opportunities to underserved socioeconomic communities, geographic areas, and ethnic groups throughout the United States. The Foundation firmly believes in the broader societal benefits of soccer as a recreational activity, an avenue for health and fitness, a means of building leadership skills, and a competitive sport. We believe we can provide these benefits through soccer coaching education. The Foundation’s primary program activity is direct financial support through grants and through scholarships to coaching education programs.
Several minority groups—notably, Latinos, African Americans in urban communities, and Native Americans in rural areas—often face financial and social barriers to soccer opportunities in America. If the Foundation could increase support for coaches in these communities, it would help provide these communities with never-before-offered opportunities to join the American youth soccer experience that today is predominantly suburban.
The “Honor Your Coach” program—which establishes named endowments in honor of individuals like Miller—is one of our approaches to building the endowment. Because of Miller’s lifelong involvement with soccer and distinguished history of service to advancement of soccer in the US, The NSCAA Foundation, his colleagues, his friends, and his former players would like to honor Miller through this named fund.
Miller graduated from the Pingry School in 1953 and Cum Laude from Springfield College in 1957. He began teaching and coaching at Pingry in 1958. Over the course of the last 50-plus years, Miller has compiled an incredible history of service, accomplishments, and recognitions in soccer.
He was national high school coach of the year 4 times and New Jersey high school coach of the year 7 times. He has had 21 State titles, 24 County titles, 13 Undefeated Teams, and unbeaten streaks of 58, 46, 43, and 33. His career record at Pingry is 748 Wins- 92 losses- 56 ties.
He served as USSF Coaching School staff, USSF State Coaches Administrator, USSFCA Coaching Administrator, Governor’s Fitness Council (New Jersey), Governor Kean’s Committee on Fitness, U. S. Representative to German Football Convention, President of the Union County Soccer Coaches Association, NSCAA Foundation Campaign Committee, NSCAA National Ethics Committee, NSCAA Board of Directors, and President of the NSCAA.
He has received the New Jersey College Coaches Merit Award, NSCAA Letter of Commendation, NSCAA High School Service Award, NISOA National Referee’s Merit Award, and the NSCAA’s highest distinction—the Honor Award. Miller has been inducted into no less than five Halls of Fame—The New Jersey Youth Soccer, New Jersey Coach’s, Pingry School’s, Springfield College’s, and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s. Miller and his wife Elizabeth have three children—Miller Boyce Bugliari, Anthony Stewart Bugliari and David Graham Bugliari.
We hope you will consider a tax-deductible gift toward the The Miller Bugliari Fund and join us in honoring Miller’s lifelong dedication and contributions to the sport of soccer. To make a contribution to The Miller Bugliari Fund, mail your contribution to:

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
