Dayton-BU women, USF-Michigan men on tap as NSCAA College Games of the Week

The NSCAA College Games of the Week features a Thursday women’s contest pitting the No. 19 Boston Univ. Terriers against the Dayton Flyers, followed by Friday’s men’s game between the Michigan Wolverines and the No. 5 South Florida Bulls.
Both coverages are set for a 7 p.m. start each evening on FOX Soccer.
The BU/Dayton contest marks several milestones, as it is the first women’s NSCAA College Game of the Week of the year. It is also the Flyers’ debut on the broadcast, and the first meeting between the two teams.
Head coach Mike Tucker leads a team coming off a season in which it earned the Atlantic-10 Tournament Championship. He also brings back several players from last year's team, including All-Conference First Team players forward Colleen Williams and goalkeeper Alexis Garcia. Also returning are sophomore forward Kelsey Smigel, goalkeepers Katherine Boone and Jordin Melchert, and junior forward Juliana Libertin.
Dayton enters Thursday’s game off a 5-1 road win last week at Texas-San Antonio. Libertin scored two of the five goals, with Williams, Smigel and freshman midfielder Ashley Campbell also finding the back of the net.
Nancy Feldman, also in her 18th year, leads the Terriers, which are coming off back-to-back shutouts against Central Connecticut State and Northeastern (Mass.). Tallying goals for BU in those games included America East Player of the Week and returning senior midfielder Brea Hewitt, junior forward Madison Clemens, sophomore midfielder Jamie Turchi and freshman forward Jenna Fisher.
Both BU and Dayton were in the first NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I women's rankings of the season, with the Terriers debuting at No. 19 and the Flyers receiving votes.
The men’s Wolverine/Bulls match-up at USF’s Corbett Soccer Stadium will be the second time these two teams met in their histories. Michigan took home the win back in September 2003.
USF opens its season at home after closing the 2011 regular season 12-2-3, earning its highest NCAA Tournament seed, and the program’s third trip to the NCAA Elite Eight Tournament. The Bulls, led by 10th-year head coach George Kiefer, were also ranked fifth in the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I men's preseason poll released on Aug. 7.
This year’s team returns eight starters including senior midfielder Sebastien Thuriere, junior goalkeeper Eric Osswald, and sophomore midfielder Lucas Baldin.
Michigan, which ended last season 5-14-1 overall, has three captains returning in seniors midfielder Latif Alsae, defender Kofi Opare and defender Brian Klemczak. The team also boasts redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Adam Grinwis who, in 2011, was named Professional Development League Goalkeeper of the Year and Rookie of the Year.
The Wolverines also enter 2012 under new head coach Chaka Daley, formerly of Providence (R.I.) College, where he led the Friars to seven-consecutive winning seasons and five NCAA Tournaments appearances.
This is the eighth season of the NSCAA College Game of the Week on FOX Soccer, featuring outstanding matches between some of the top NCAA Division I men’s and women’s teams. The NSCAA College Game of the Week makes Thursday and Friday nights the premier viewing destination for intercollegiate soccer fans.

I wish someone uploaded a legible copy of the Bob Gansler & Tony DiCiccio presentations at The Orlando event. I was there, it was awesome, and now I can't read my diagram/notes as to how the ball/players move!
